It's all starting to come together!

I cannot believe that we've been planning this wedding for six months already!  But, the good news is that all that planning is starting to pay off and this wedding is finally starting to come together!  We've found an officiant and photographer, the venue and catering is locked down, the bridesmaids are ordering their dresses this week, and we'll be ordering the cake in the next few days.  I've got my dress, Chris has his kilt and (most of) the accessories - no kidding, he's going to look better than I am come our wedding day!  Luckily I'm not the jealous type.  :)

Right now the only major thing that's left to do is the decor.  We're DIY-ing all of the decor, and making paper flowers for all the bouquets and centerpieces, so we've just got to get cracking on getting this all set up.  Luckily I have wonderful friends and family who are willing to help with all the crafting - I'm sure I'd never get it done on my own!

Chris is finishing the invitations as well - being as he's a graphic designer, he of course wanted to put his own stamp on them!  Not to mention that his design work is amazing and we probably couldn't find better!  The design is mostly done at this point, we're just waiting on a couple last elements to come together.  Then off to the printers and into the mail!

OH - and in the middle of all the wedding planning and prep, we decided we needed to buy a house as well!  So we've been spending our weekends with a (very lovely) realtor, obsessing over our budget and priorities in the Portland homebuying market.  We actually did put in an offer on a house last week, but it's a short sale so who knows if or when it will work out.  We're keeping our eyes open for other options as well and trying not to put all our eggs in one basket.

I have a feeling things are going to be pretty busy for us over the next few months... Three months to go!  We can't wait!
